Make a Bargello Quilt top in a week-end. Quilt
size is approximately 40" x 60" then you add the borders
as you wish. This is all done on the sewing machine, and a knowledge
of rotary cutting is necessary. 10 persons.
BARGELLO HEART - 2 Days
This is not for the beginner and a small amount
of preparation is needed to be done before the class starts. The
aim of this workshop is to produce a quilt top in the bargello
heart pattern. Machine only. 10 persons.
SECRET CHRISTMAS TREE MARK 1 - 1 Day
This workshop is based on a Japanese folded technique.
Can be done by hand and machine. 15 persons.
SECRET CHRISTMAS TREE MARK 2 - 1 Day
This workshop is based on a new design for a
Christmas Tree and is a total secret. Don't even ask me for a
sneak preview just trust me you will love it. Can be done by hand
and machine.15 persons.
THE BIG BAG - 1 Day
This bag is a must for all those quilting aids
that you want to take to class. It needs to be made on a machine
so it is strong enough so you will never need another bag again.
Will have enough room for a cutting mat and ruler. 12
persons.
TRIP AROUND THE WORLD - 1 Day
This is a day to make a small lap quilt using rotary
cutting and machine piecing in the Round the World pattern. 12
Persons.
LITTLE BIT OF FUN - 1 Day
This is a workshop to make a quilt using one shape. Realise
what fun a shape can be. Machine and rotary cutter. 12 Persons.
BOX DAYS - 1 Day
This is to make a box from the Dilys Designs collection.
You can choose from different types of boxes, however only one sort
of box will be made in the class. All hand sewing. Please choose
one of the following:
Octagonal, squashy, serviette, quadrangle, pentagon or petal.
This workshop will cost an extra £3 per person for the cost
of the pre cut card. 15 persons.
TWIST 'N' TURN - 1 Day
This is a workshop learning how to add strips cut away
and make your centre block twist 'n' turn. Machine piecing and rotary
cutting. 12 persons.
MACHINE APPLIQUE DAY - 1 Day
Make a quilt top using machine Appliqué with hearts
and/or stars. Machine only. 12 persons.
APPLIQUE DAY - 1 Day
Technique day learning different types of Appliqué
from needle turn to freezer paper and lots more. Remember there
are at least 10 different ways to Appliqué.15 persons.
FABRIC MOSAICS - 1 Day
Make a fun and effective fabric mosaic. This is a day
where there is no sewing needed, it's all heat and bond and just
like making a jigsaw. 15 persons.
BACK TO BASICS - 1 Day
Learn how to draft a block to make your own templates.
The aim is to make and quilt a patchwork square block to make into
a cushion or a block for a sampler quilt. Hand piecing.12
persons.
BAG - 1 Day
1 small whimsical bag ideal for beaches or just shopping.
With 6 external pockets you should have room for most things for
that special day out. Machine piecing and rotary cutting.
12 persons.
CELTIC CUSHION PANEL - 1 Day
Make a celtic cushion panel. Learn how to cut bias strips
and Appliqué them onto a background square in a Celtic knot
design. Hand piecing and rotary cutting. 15 persons.
MARINERS COMPASS FOR THE TERRIFIED - 1 Day
Make a Mariners compass block using the foundation method.
Realise how easy Mariners compass really is when broken down into
manageable pieces. Machine pieced. 12 persons.
HEART SHAPED BOX - 1 Day
This is to make a heart shaped box designed by Sarah.
The workshop includes ready cut card. Hand sewing only.
15 persons.
All of the workshops state the amount of people
accepted on each one and whether they are hand or machine pieced.
The minimum number of persons to make a class worthwhile is 6.
