Welcome to our history page. Although Pauline's Patchwork & Quilting Supplies has been around since 1985 it was not until the 8th April 2000, when we opened our second much larger shop, that we were able to stock and supply all that we felt you needed as patchwork and quilting enthusiasts. Both of our shops are within the Brewer's Quay at Weymouth in Dorset and by opening the larger shop it meant that we could focus on giving our customers a much broader range of fabrics, waddings etc as well as running all of our classes in house. Our smaller shop was then able to focus on Cross-Stitch, Tapestries, Wools and Silks.

It took time to get used to the extra floor space in our larger shop with over 1000ft to fill, but by the end of the first year the layout of the shop was at a stage where everything was looking good and pleasing our visiting customers, who remarked on how accessible our stock had become.

Towards the middle of 2000 we launched our first web site to further expand our client base. This has proved itself to be very successful and has given us the chance to send our wares all over the world. In June 2001 we revised our site to give our customers a more comprehensive range of fabrics and books to choose from online.
